What a beautiful way to begin November. A generous amount of snow has blended with our remarkable fall colors here in Western North Carolina. It wasn't super cold and the ground wasn't frozen so the snow didn't make the roads dangerous but it did make for a great
morning to play outdoors. Lucky for me, three of my grand children (Becca, Heath, and Jack) had stayed the night with me. The excitement and wonder of the
early snowfall really made for an energetic morning. We all put on our warm jackets, boots and gloves to find some snowballs. We divided into teams and had a snow ball fight around the yard. I'm pretty sure they won! The moist snow made for perfect snowballs and a slick running field to dodge them. After we had worn ourselves out chasing each other we settled in for a small snowman contest. What a wonderful day frozen into our memories!
