An unforgettable stay at a premier destination

When asked about “America’s Resort,” you may picture a luxurious, colonnaded resort with beautifully manicured grounds, a world-renowned spa, on-grounds entertainment, multiple golf courses, exceptional dining and a centuries-old history of serving travelers. However, you may not think that place would be in West Virginia.

Welcome to the Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, WV. Designated a National Historic landmark, this award-winning resort has been pampering guests since 1778. But the accommodations are not antiquated. You can choose from a plush room or spacious suite in the main resort, a legacy cottage or a four- to seven-bedroom estate home.

The resort boasts 581 rooms, 33 suites and 96 guest and estate houses. There are more than 40 meeting rooms, 10 different lobbies and a facility for hosting conferences. The resort sits on 10,000 acres of rolling wonder (and golf courses), snuggled in a valley surrounded by the Allegheny Mountains. Staying at the Greenbrier is an experience you won’t soon forget.

During Your Stay…

Regardless which room you choose, you won’t be bored during your vacation. Some people prefer to lounge by the indoor or outdoor pool, but others crave the excitement of the casino. While some may treat themselves to a spa massage, others want a rejuvenating treatment from the MedSpa. You can enjoy an afternoon tea, stroll the grounds, go on a carriage ride and shop the art colony, the casino shop or a range of other onsite venues.

For the kids, the resort offers a wide range of onsite and offsite activities, from the “Adventure Zone” (supervised fun activities) to the game room, from biking to bowling, and from croquet and golf to laser tag and paintball. There are also canopy tours, hiking, horseback riding, archery, horseshoes, ice skating (in season), kayaking, tennis, Segway tours and even falconry demonstrations.

Did someone mention food? The resort has six full-service restaurants, three seasonal restaurants, five lounges and of course, 24-hour room service. Every month features special food and drink events, including the 2015 Greenbrier Easter Brunch, a Mother’s Day Brunch, cooking classes and kitchen tours and tastings. And that’s just in April!

10,000 Acres of Delights

Located just minutes off I-64 near the Virginia-West Virginia border, the Greenbrier is relatively easy to find if you’re traveling by car. The resort is also accessible by air via nearby Greenbrier Valley Airport or by train via Amtrak, which drops you off right by their Christmas Shop.

Whatever your preferences, you can find something to do from among the 55 activities the resort offers. In addition to the casino, there’s also a 103,000-square-foot gaming and entertainment venue. The Greenbrier is a national treasure that continues to delight visitors of any age. Normal room rates start at $159 per person per night (for weeknights) and $199 per person per night (for weekends).

Spring is a special time at the Greenbrier, as the flowers explode into color and everyone rushes for grand views and fun activities outside. The Greenbrier offers specials throughout April. Check their website at www.greenbrier.com or call them at 855-453-4858 for more information.
