A great fall project is an afghan. This tweed lap afghan is a good size for throwing on a bed or snuggling with on the sofa. This pattern is made using 2 strands of yarn which produces the tweed pattern. It gives the appearance of a cover and not an afghan.

This afghan was made by instructons from Vanna Whites, Vanna's Choice: Color It Beautiful Afghans, a crochet book published by her in 2007. If you are interested in the full instructions, click the picture of the book below and it will take you to Amazon.com.

The materials you will need for this project are 3 balls of #135 (Rust), 3 balls of #099 (Linen), and 3 balls of #125 (Taupe). If you are a crocheter I think you will enjoy the challenge of the changing colors and the ease in how fast this project goes.

This afghan is rich in color and design and will be an asset to your decorative accents for years to come!
